Grand Finale to Christmas Celebration 2008

Thank you Lord for the Joy that comes with the presence of all the family together!!!

Stephen and Claire have gone back to NYC. Thank you for taking the time to come to DFWTX.

Patrick and Susan came over several times and each time it was good to be together. Thank you Pat and Susan.

Sydney and her friend were here. Thank you Syd.

Larry, Sandra and Maxwell were here for more than a week. What a Joy. Thank you KinCannons. ( I mailed Max's shoes yesterday) Have a safe trip back home.

Steven, Jenny, Levi, Lindsey, Logan (Red Eagle), and Lily were with us for several days. Always great times when we are together. Have a safe trip home. Thank you for taking the time to visit.

Dear Sheryl had to be in the hospital for almost the intire time. We were all thinking about you Sheryl and really wanted you to be with us and not in so much pain. Get out of the hospital as soon as you can. Gary was here as much as he could be and it was our pleasure to have Henry with us all the time.

Again, it was such a grand time. We want to thank everyone for making the effort to make this possible.

Christmas 2008 Holidays

This has been a great Christmas holidays celebration. We have almost the whole family together except Sheryl, who was admitted to Harris SW on the day before Christmas in preparation for an appendectomy. Apparently her appendex had ruptured on Sunday before and she was in great pain for several days. Here on Saturday, December 27 she is apparently well on her way to recovery. Henry has been staying with us while his mother is in the hospital. He misses her terribly.

For the holidays, Sandra, Larry and Max came in from Northern VA a few days before Christmas and the Tenn Watsons ( Steven, Jenny, Levi, Lindsey, Logan, and Lily) came in the day after Christmas, so we have had several great meals and many great discussions with various members of the family. Stephen Hogan and his friend, Claire Hoogendoorn came to Arlington from NYC and they came on to FW on two or three occasions along with his parents, Susan and Pat Hogan and his sister Sydney Hogan. Also, Gary Shannon and son, Henry participated. We had the annual family game of drawing or stealing gifts from a selection of inexpensive gifts provided by everyone. It has been a great time and will be the basis for many fond memories in the days ahead. It will much better when we can get Sheryl out of the Hospital.

Visited Mack Cole in Hospital

Carol Cole called and told us that Mack was in Baylor AllSaints Hospital off 8th Ave in Fort Worth.
I went by to see him and Glenn Mitchel and Carol were with him. We talked about old times and his church in Montana. Mack was admitted to the hospital with fluid on one lung. We had a great discussion about the Indian members of his church. I hope to have dinner with Mack and Carol before they return to Montana. When i was leaving, I ran into Elwood McKinney on my way out.

The Eagle's First Blog

Christmas 2008 has been an eventful occasion.  Joyfully, most of the kids are here for the Christmas celebration, except one is not here.  The number two girl is in the hospital with appendicitis.
